AI is often the fastest way to find the real constraint. Not the final answer.
Here’s a pattern Sigli notices again and again. A team starts with a clear request: “We need AI.” They want new predictive features , automated insights, smarter workflows and a step-change in competitiveness.
Then discovery begins, and the “AI project” quietly turns into something else: data pipelines and data requirements, workflow and model delivery improvements, infrastructure constraints (often security / residency), documentation and operational reliability.
At first, this can feel like scope drift. But in fact, It isn’t. It’s the project doing what it’s supposed to do: finding the bottleneck early, before anyone wastes months building a model that can’t reliably run, can’t integrate, or can’t be trusted.
A simple truth: if your “AI project” becomes a data/process/integration project, it often means you found the real constraint early.

What shipped wasn’t “just AI.” Sigli and the client’s internal team delivered infrastructure upgrades including new pipelines, advanced ML functionality, and improved workflows to release new features faster. And those foundations unlocked concrete product outcomes, like expanded feature capabilities including property tracking and market trend analysis for end users.

The good outcome is what this case study shows: AI work that acts like a diagnostic, and creates durable foundations (data pipelines, delivery workflows, infrastructure choices) that make future AI faster, safer, and actually valuable.

No. A pivot usually means you discovered the real constraint early. The failure is building a model that can’t be trusted, can’t integrate, or can’t be adopted, then calling it “done.”
Most commonly it becomes: data readiness work (data pipelines, data model cleanup, tracking, quality), integration work (APIs, permissions, identity, system connectivity), workflow redesign (handoffs, exceptions, ownership, UX), governance (security, auditability, PII controls, risk guardrails).
An AI readiness assessment is a structured way to validate whether your AI idea can be shipped safely and profitably. It checks data, systems, workflow, risks, and success metrics, then gives a practical delivery plan (or a clear “not yet” recommendation).
Run it when: you have an AI idea but don’t know what’s feasible, your pilots keep stalling after a promising demo, data is scattered across systems and teams, security/compliance is a major concern, you want a roadmap you can confidently fund.
Common outputs include: clear problem definition + success metrics, system and data map (sources, access, constraints), data readiness findings and gaps, solution options (e.g., AI now vs foundations first) with tradeoffs, risk and governance requirements, phased implementation roadmap.
We look at: data availability and quality, integration into the real workflow, error tolerance (“what happens when it’s wrong?”), risk constraints, and cost/latency budgets. If any of these are missing, the smartest move is often foundations first.
AI strategy is broader (portfolio, priorities, operating model). AI readiness is practical and delivery-focused: can this specific use case be shipped, and what must be in place first?
Yes, often faster. Improving pipelines, workflows, and integrations can produce immediate operational gains, and it makes future AI work cheaper and less risky.
If possible: describe the target workflow and where value is created, identify data sources and owners, outline systems involved (CRM, ERP, ticketing, KB, warehouse), list constraints (PII, residency, audit requirements), define what “success” looks like in measurable terms.
